Privacy policy

Loop is software that helps fashion and lifestyle brands run their shops, stock, sales and books. It is made by Teleoceans LLC. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. It also covers our Shopify app.

What we collect

Your account: your name, email address, phone number and password. We store passwords only in a scrambled form that cannot be read back.

Your company's records: what you and your team enter or bring in, such as products, prices, stock, invoices, bills, payments, expenses, customers, suppliers and staff.

Usage and security logs: sign-ins, the actions taken in your account, your device and browser type, and your IP address. We use them to keep accounts safe and to fix problems.

Payments for your subscription: our payment provider handles your card. We never see or store your full card number.

Our Shopify app

When you connect your Shopify store, Shopify asks you to approve what our app may read. We read your store's name, address and currency, your store locations, your products and their variants, prices, costs, barcodes, and stock levels.

We use this only to bring your products and stock into your Loop account, so you can review them before anything is created. The app reads your store and does not change your Shopify products.

We do not read your Shopify customers or orders. If you later choose to turn on online order sync, Shopify will ask you to approve that separately, and we will then read your orders, including the customer's name, phone and delivery address, only to record the sale and ship it.

Your store's access key is stored encrypted and is never shown on any screen, in any export or in our logs.

If you remove the app from your store, our access ends at once. The products you already imported stay in your Loop account as your own records. When Shopify asks us to delete a store's data or a customer's data, we do so and confirm it to Shopify.

How we use your information

To run your account and the features you use, keep your books, send the emails you need (such as sign-in links, invites and invoices), give support, keep the service secure, and improve it.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

The assistant

If you use the assistant, your question and the records it needs to answer are sent to the AI provider that powers it, only to produce the answer. Our agreement with that provider does not allow it to train its models on your data.

Who we share it with

Only with providers that help us run Loop, under contracts that limit what they may do with it: hosting and file storage, email delivery, payments, the assistant's AI provider, and, if you use our shipping, our delivery partner.

We also share information when the law requires it, or to protect our users and our service.

Your customers' information

The details of your own customers and suppliers that you keep in Loop belong to you. We hold them for you, use them only to provide the service to you, and never contact your customers ourselves.

Where it is kept and how it is protected

Each company's records are kept in a separate database. Information is encrypted on its way to us, store keys and other secrets are encrypted at rest, access is limited by role, and we keep regular backups.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open. If you close your account and ask us to delete your data, we delete it, except records the law requires us to keep, such as tax and invoice records, which we keep only for as long as required.

Your choices and rights

You can see, correct and export your company's records from your account at any time. You can ask us for a copy of your personal information, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to us.

Cookies and browser storage

We keep you signed in and remember your language and settings using cookies and your browser's storage. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Children

Loop is a tool for businesses. It is not meant for anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change is important, we will tell account owners by email or in the app before it takes effect.
